About The Foundation

The mission of The NeuroCommunity Foundation is to support research, provide educational resources and promote awareness for those suffering from the disabling effects of Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury.

We not only help those who are suffering from the physical impairments of these afflictions, but also the cognitive ones: memory, reasoning, attention, language, problem solving, visual comprehension, etc. Cognition is the one aspect of a person’s life that has the most significant impact. Yet, until now, there have been very inadequate resources for cognitive loss, which is increasing every year.

We receive no governmental or other public funding, but rather rely solely upon the generosity of individuals, corporations and businesses to support our work.

About The Foundation:

The NeuroCommunity Foundation is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors may deduct contributions to the foundation as provided in section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. Bequests, legacies, devises, transfers, or gifts to the foundation are deductible for Federal estate and gift tax purposes if they meet the applicable provisions of sections 2055, 2106, and 2522 of the Code. Donors may deduct contributions to the foundation only to the extent that their contributions are gifts, with no consideration received.

The NeuroCommunity Foundation, the Center for Aging Research & Education (CARE), and the Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders Information Center are divisions of the Northridge Foundation for Neurological Research & Education. Please contact us at 818-745-5051 with any questions about our Foundation.
