Farewell from The NeuroCommunity Foundation

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you of The NeuroCommunity Foundation’s plans for January, 2018. For the last 15 years, The NeuroCommunity Foundation has proudly and effectively served the Parkinson’s, Stroke, MS, Dementia and Traumatic Brain Injury communities in the Southern California region. We have provided educational programs, support groups, information, resources and referrals to make those suffering from these afflictions, their family’s and care-partners, better able to cope with their condition.

Unfortunately, because of circumstances beyond the control of the board, we find that we will need to cease operations as of January 31st, 2018. We sincerely hope that our support groups will decide to continue to provide the excellent support and educational opportunities for their members, spouses, family and friends. Our website’s list of contact information for current support groups will continue to be posted. However, after January 31st, 2018, the website will not be updated.

As chairman of the board, I wish to thank our dedicated board members who have given of themselves over the years to mold our foundation, positively contributing to our community.  I also wish to thank both Viviane Tondour, our founding educational director, and more recently Jan D. Somers, our current educational director, for their tireless efforts to carry out the mission of the foundation to improve the lives of those and the family members of those suffering from these conditions.

Lastly, but most importantly, I wish to thank all those in our NeuroCommunity who have provided support and direction for our cause.
